AUDITIONS FOR Shrek the Musical!

Performances will be at The Alden Theatre, 1234 Ingleside Ave, McLean, VA. Rehearsals will be at the McLean Community Center and the Great Falls Grange.

Callbacks by invitation, Thursday, April 10th, 2025

Rehearsals
Shrek will rehearse Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm, and Saturdays 10-1, from April 15 - July 17th.

Please prepare one 16-32 bar cut of a song of your choice - but also bring your book in case we want to hear more! Please bring either sheet music/book for the accompanist, or your own digital accompaniment. We will not be doing any choreography at Auditions, only at Callbacks.

McLean Community Players is an all-volunteer organization. There is no pay for performers. All parts for every show are open; none are ever pre-cast. You need not be a member of MCP to be in a production, and do not need to pay to audition. MCP is committed to diverse casting of all productions, where possible.

Once you have auditioned, you may be called back. Not being called back does not mean that you have not been cast. All those who have auditioned will be informed of casting decisions at the end of the casting process.
